“Use of a new alternative route without entering city of Lachin will be possible in the next one week,” Chairman of Board of State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads Saleh Mammadov told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
S. Mammadov has noted that according to the instructions of the head of the country, the Agency fulfilled its promise ahead of time, and the 22 km part of the alternative road passing through the territory of Azerbaijan is already ready: “It is known that the highway from Armenia to Khankendi used to pass through the center of the city of Lachin. By the instructions of the head of the country, the 22 km part of the road falling on the territory of Azerbaijan has been built in a short period of time, within 10 months. 10 km of the road falls on the territory of Armenia.”
