BAKU—Mukhtar Babayev, the President-Designate of COP29, has agreed to meet with members of the COP29 NGO Coalition in response to an invitation from the National NGO Forum of Azerbaijan. The announcement was made by Ramil Iskandarli, Chairman of the Board of the National NGO Forum of Azerbaijan, during a recent statement.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the COP29 NGO Coalition, which was established about a month ago by the National NGO Forum of Azerbaijan, includes over 200 foreign NGOs from 50 countries. The coalition aims to bring together NGOs from various regions around the world to engage in global discussions related to the upcoming COP29. The meeting with Babayev is scheduled to take place online on September 10th and will provide an opportunity for coalition members to ask questions and hold discussions with the President-Designate. Iskandarli noted the growing interest in the coalition, with new applications from various countries being received daily.
