In an interview with the Azeri-Press News Agency (APA), Guliyev expressed concern over the recent smear campaigns in Turkish media against Azerbaijan, which he described as relying on false and unfounded allegations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Guliyev emphasized the unparalleled brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Turkey, highlighting the strong bilateral relations and mutual support demonstrated by the two nations. He noted that the leaders of both countries, President Ilham Aliyev and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, have fostered a sense of brotherhood that extends beyond state institutions to the societies of both nations.

Guliyev acknowledged that there have been forces within both countries attempting to undermine this unity, but stressed that Azerbaijan has effectively neutralized such activities. He pointed out that individuals like Ramiz Mehdiyev, Abulfas Garayev, Elmar Mammadyarov, and Ali Hasanov, who acted against Turkey, have been neutralized or arrested in Azerbaijan.

The chairman expressed concern about the activities of certain groups within Turkey, particularly the Turkuvaz Media Group, which he accused of conducting slander campaigns against Azerbaijan. He also highlighted the influence of Berat Albayrak, a close family member of President Erdogan, in these activities. Guliyev called for urgent measures from the Turkish state to address these issues and stressed the importance of reciprocal sensitivity between the two countries.

He urged for the lifting of Gergerlioglu's immunity and his arrest, as well as the cessation of the destructive activities of media groups that negatively influence public opinion against Azerbaijan.

Guliyev concluded that such measures would not only counteract attempts to harm Azerbaijan-Turkey unity but also dispel claims of a centrally coordinated campaign against Azerbaijan.
