Brussels: The process of appointing NATO's new Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia is nearing completion, NATO's press service said in response to an inquiry from APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the South Caucasus and Black Sea regions hold importance for Allied security. This is demonstrated by NATO's enduring partnerships with various countries in the region, including Azerbaijan. The organization mentioned that the appointment process for the new NATO Special Representative is being finalized, and more details are expected to be shared soon.

Additionally, Belgium's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Julien de Fraipont, highlighted in an interview with APA that NATO plans to appoint a new Special Representative for the South Caucasus imminently.
