Baku:Nearly 16,000 people are now residing in the liberated districts of Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand, according to Emin Huseynov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in these areas. Huseynov shared this update during the plenary session titled "Culture at the Center Safe Pathways to a Common Future" at the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue held in Baku.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Huseynov stated that over 4,000 families have settled in these districts. He indicated that this number is expected to grow significantly in the near future, as the most challenging phases of mine clearance, infrastructure establishment, and other crucial restoration tasks are already completed.
The Special Representative highlighted that the primary objective is to ensure the sustainable return of citizens to their hometowns and to rejuvenate all aspects of life in these territories. Huseynov stressed that this process should extend beyond the restoration of homes, schools, and infrastructure to include the development of social and cultural life.
