“There is an increase in daily coronavirus infection cases over about recent 1-2 weeks. We consider that its main reason was the organization of weddings, festivities. Although these ceremonies are held within the framework of certain rules, anti-epidemic measures are taken into consideration, the number of contacts among people has increased through the weddings, festivities,” Deputy Chair of Medical-Scientific Institute of Prevention under the TABIB Akif Gurbanov told APA.
According to him, an increase in the number of contacts also leads to an increase in infections that was expected: “But we have to try not to increase the number of infections, and not to overload our health system and hospitals. In the case of overloading of the health system, hospitals, the importance of re-closure may occur. That is why all of us have to follow the rules regarding protection. Recently, people have become overconfident. Carelessness appeared regarding mask use, following distance, hygiene over recent times. Carelessness leads to an increase in infections. There are two ways to prevent the virus- protections and vaccination”.
