New Azerbaijan Party Delegation Engages in Strategic Visit to China

Shanghai: A delegation from Azerbaijan, comprising members of the country's ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), arrived in China at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC). The visit marks a significant step in fostering the relationship between the two nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the YAP delegation attended the opening ceremony of a seminar hosted by the Party School of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee. The event underscored the importance of cooperation between YAP and the CPC, emphasizing the evolving Azerbaijan-China relationship.

Vugar Iskandarov, a member of the YAP Central Control and Auditing Commission and the Youth and Sports Committee of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis, addressed the event. He noted that the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China is a result of the policies pursued by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Iskandarov highlighted the crucial role of the ruling parties in advancing bilateral relations and expressed confidence that the visit would further enhance these ties.

The Azerbaijani delegation also engaged in seminars focused on Chinese culture, the Belt and Road Initiative, and the development of Shanghai's Pudong district, illustrating the broad scope of topics discussed during the visit.
