New Development Bank and Uzbekistan to Form Joint Expert Group for Strategic Projects


KAZAN: During the BRICS summit events, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Dilma Rousseff, President of the New Development Bank (NDB), reached an agreement to establish a joint expert group aimed at fostering strategic cooperation projects. This initiative is expected to enhance collaboration in areas such as education, technology, and infrastructure modernization.

According to Trend News Agency, the discussions between the Uzbek President and the NDB President covered several potential areas for partnership. These include educational programs, technological development initiatives, and support for the social sector. Both parties also highlighted the significance of digitalization, energy, and utilities in driving forward their cooperative efforts.

A pivotal outcome of the meeting was the decision to form a joint expert group. This group will focus on preparing specific projects that align with Uzbekistan’s development goals, thereby paving the way for strategic initiatives in the discussed sectors.
