Baku: A new episode of "Azerbaijan and the World" has been released on the AZERTAC website. Host Tamilla Mamedova engaged in a dialogue with Bulgarian international relations expert Stanislav Bachev, focusing on the potential for trade and economic collaboration between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Bachev highlighted the increasing strategic importance of Azerbaijan and Bulgaria as a link between regions amid global geopolitical shifts. He pointed out that the Middle Corridor presents additional opportunities for Bulgarian participation in transporting goods from China to Europe under the Belt and Road Initiative. Bachev remarked that this route is becoming a crucial element in the emerging global trade and logistics architecture.
The discussion also explored promising cooperation areas, including the chemical and food industries, household appliance production, and the development of Azerbaijan's fertilizer industry, with Bulgaria serving as a gateway to the European market. Bachev emphasized that mutual investment and collaboration in industrial and military-technical sectors could significantly enhance bilateral cooperation.
