Istanbul: The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, met with the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, during his visit to Trkiye for the IDEF 2025 17th International Defence Industry Fair. The meeting, held in Istanbul, was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Defense to APA, where it was highlighted that the bilateral relations are grounded in mutual trust, cooperation, and shared cultural values.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the discussions centered on the current state of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. Both parties engaged in a comprehensive exchange of views aimed at further strengthening these ties. The meeting also explored new prospects for developing military relations, signaling a commitment to enhancing defense collaboration between the two nations.
