Shushakend: New resettlement convoys have arrived in the villages of Shushakend, Ballija, and Badara in the Khojaly district, as families received keys to their new homes.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service for the cities of Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly announced that on December 11, another resettlement took place in the village of Shushakend. In this phase, 14 families totaling 51 individuals were relocated.

During the house key handover ceremony, Mahmud Afandiyev, Deputy Executive Director of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service for Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly, highlighted the rapid progress of large-scale restoration and reconstruction works in the liberated territories. Essential infrastructure such as roads, water, electricity, and gas have been fully provided, ensuring a smooth transition for the returning residents. Residents expressed their happiness at returning to their native land.

The resettlement convoys’ arrival in Shushakend, Ballija, and Badara marks a significant step in the restoration process. Sabuhi Gahramanov, Deputy Special Representative of the President in Khankendi city, spoke at the ceremony, noting that comprehensive measures are being implemented as per the President’s instructions to ensure the social security and employment of the resettled families. Job opportunities are being created, and full support is provided to those wishing to pursue entrepreneurial activities. In Khanyurdu village, infrastructure including electricity, gas, water, and communications has been fully restored, establishing all necessary conditions for comfortable living.
