New Training Period Launches with Focus on Advanced Methods in Azerbaijan Army

Baku: In accordance with the training plan approved by the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the Azerbaijan Army has initiated events to mark the commencement of the new training period across its various units, formations, and special educational institutions, the Ministry of Defense informed APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the events featured performances of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan by military orchestras. During these events, military personnel were briefed on the tasks set by President Ilham Aliyev, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and the directives from the Minister of Defense and the Chief of the General Staff. These directives emphasize maintaining a high level of combat readiness.

It was highlighted that the new training period aims to enhance the quality and intensity of training exercises by utilizing advanced methods and technologies. The focus will be on improving personnel skills in the effective use of modern military equipment, weapons, and ammunition in varied conditions, including diverse climates, challenging terrains, and during both day and night.

The Ministry noted that, following the Defense Minister's instructions and considering the experience from the 44-day Patriotic War and subsequent operations, the training will concentrate on further developing these skills. Additionally, strengthening the material and technical base, implementing automated command and control systems, and comprehensive planning will facilitate more effective combat training organization.

The ceremony concluded with a solemn march-past of the personnel in front of the grandstand.
