Baku: The date and agenda of the upcoming plenary session of the Milli Majlis, the Azerbaijani Parliament, have been officially announced. The session is scheduled for February 28 and will feature a comprehensive agenda comprising 16 significant issues.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the agenda includes a series of draft laws aimed at amending various legal frameworks within Azerbaijan. These include the third reading of amendments to the Constitutional Law concerning the Commissioner for Human Rights, the Law on Aviation, the Criminal Code, and the Code of Administrative Offences. Additionally, the session will address changes to the Law on Social Insurance, the Tax Code, and the Law on Medical Insurance.
Further topics on the agenda include amendments to the Housing Code and multiple laws related to the implementation of the ‘Courts and Judges’ law dated March 29, 2024. The session will also see the second reading of amendments concerning Combating Corruption, the Social Protection of Children Deprived of Parental Care, and regulations affecting the Code of Administrative Offenses and military services.
Additional legislative changes involve amendments to the Criminal Code, laws concerning civil weapons, accounting standards, and transport regulations. The first reading will tackle proposed changes to the laws on Education, Vocational Education, Field Post Communication, and the Constitutional Court.
