Baku: President of the Republic of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega Saavedra and Vice President Rosario Murillo have extended their congratulations to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on the occasion of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the congratulatory message expressed sincere and fraternal congratulations on behalf of the Nicaraguan people and the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity. The letter highlighted the shared celebration of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day, set for the upcoming May 28, emphasizing the history, identity, and sovereign spirit of the Azerbaijani people.

The message also reiterated Nicaragua’s commitment to strengthening the historic ties of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between the two nations. President Ortega and Vice President Murillo conveyed their best wishes for peace, progress, and well-being to President Aliyev and all the people of Azerbaijan.
