Night Traffic Management Monitoring for COP29 Successfully Completed in Baku


BAKU: In preparation for the upcoming COP29 conference, scheduled to be held in Baku from November 11 to 22, officials have completed a series of night-time traffic management monitoring exercises. These efforts are aimed at ensuring a smooth and secure flow of traffic during the high-profile event.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the traffic monitoring was a collaborative effort involving the COP29 Azerbaijan Organizing Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Azerbaijani Land Transport Agency. The monitoring activities took place on October 20, between 2:30 AM and 4:00 AM, and included test runs for transport vehicles along critical routes. The routes tested encompassed areas around guest accommodations, Heydar Aliyev International Airport, and the event venue.

The successful completion of these tests marks a significant step in the logistical preparations for COP29. The conference is expected to draw numerous international delegates, requiring meticulous planning to manage the city
