St. petersburg: The House of Nationalities organized an event marking the Novruz holiday in Saint Petersburg, Russia, with the support of the Committee for Interethnic Relations. The festive event, hosted at the "Russia - My History" museum, brought together representatives of various nations living in St. Petersburg, as well as celebrating the Novruz holiday. According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Azerbaijan was represented at the event by the "Chinar" National Cultural Center, led by Kheyransa Mirzayeva. The exhibition organized in the lobby aroused significant interest among the guests. Members of the "Chinar" National Cultural Center arranged master classes, showcasing the arts of carpet weaving and patterning of shekerbura. Guests immersed themselves in Novruz traditions, weaving loops on a carpet loom and decorating shekerbura with traditional patterns. The event also featured a 20-minute dance program of the 28-year-old 'Chinar' vocal-dance ensemble prepared by choreographer Rena Ibrahimova, whic h aroused considerable admiration among the guests.
