Number of Azerbaijanis Missing Due to Armenia’s Military Aggression Updated

Baku: The number of Azerbaijani citizens who went missing due to Armenia's military aggression has been updated, with 4,009 individuals now registered as missing, as reported by APA. This information comes from the website of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, 4,003 individuals went missing during the First Karabakh War, while 6 went missing during the Patriotic War. Of those missing from the First Karabakh War, 3,221 were military personnel and 782 were civilians. The civilian count includes 71 children, 288 women, and 319 elderly people. Among the total missing persons, 3,714 are men and 289 are women.

The identities of 226 missing martyrs from the First Karabakh War have been established, and their remains have been returned to their families for burial.
