Number of believers on hunger strike in prisons reached six

Another prisoner, a member of the “Muslim Unity Movement” Seyfaddin Shirvanov joined the hunger strike declared by convicted leader of the MUM Taleh Bagirzadeh.

Earlier, his comrades-in-arms Abbas Husein and Jabbar Jabbarov, journalist Polad Aslanov and Firudin Zeynalov, convicted on the “Ganja case”, joined Bagirzadeh’s hunger strike which he started on June 3.

They are protesting against police tortures and blasphemy by law enforcement officials (insults to Allah).

Two religious activists, detained on May 20 in front of the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, informed a press conference on May 23 about tortures by law enforcement officers and insults to Allah by them.
