Number of Foreign Students in Azerbaijan Nears 11 Thousand

Baku: The number of foreign students in Azerbaijan is approaching 11,000, Ulkar Sattarova, Chair of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, informed journalists.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, foreign students are attracted to Azerbaijan based on their own interests and desires, with additional support from specific grants established by the country. The most notable of these is the Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant. Since September 15, foreign students from various countries have arrived in Azerbaijan, earning the opportunity to study at leading universities funded by the Azerbaijani government.

Ulkar Sattarova also highlighted that during the ‘Eurasian Universities Summit,’ several university partnerships will be formalized. Currently, Azerbaijan maintains relationships with foreign universities, but there is an ongoing effort to further expand these connections.
