Number of Newly Created Jobs in Azerbaijan’s Liberated Territories More Than Doubled


Baku: In 2024, 2,575 new jobs were created in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, according to APA-Economics’s calculations based on the State Statistical Committee’s report. This marks a significant increase compared to the previous year, with the number of new jobs rising by 2.1 times from 1,271 in 2023.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the highest number of new jobs was observed in Khankandi and Lachin. Specifically, Khankandi saw the creation of 702 new jobs, while Lachin had 471 new positions during the reporting period.



The period also witnessed the registration of 380 new enterprises and organizations, alongside 3,815 new individual entrepreneurship entities with the state. Compared to the previous year, the number of newly established enterprises and organizations surged by 2.6 times, and the number of individual entrepreneurs increased by 43.3%.
