Official Application Signed for Azerbaijan Banks Association’s Membership in Asian Financial Cooperation Association

Istanbul: An official application has been signed for the Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA) to be admitted as a member of the Asian Financial Cooperation Association (AFCA). The organization's leadership held a working meeting with the AFCA management during an official visit to the People's Republic of China. ABA President Zakir Nuriyev and the AFCA leadership emphasized the strategic importance of the cooperation established between the financial institutions of the two countries.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, during the meeting, the AFCA leadership was briefed in detail on Azerbaijan's current macroeconomic situation, financial stability indicators, and modern trends in the banking sector. Information was also provided on the ABA's areas of activity, services offered to member banks, and international partnership projects.

The parties reached an agreement on the implementation of joint projects and the expansion of mutual experience and information sharing. Preliminary discussions were also held regarding hosting one of the AFCA's future international events in Azerbaijan, an initiative that would significantly contribute to strengthening regional financial cooperation.
