Baku: An official welcome ceremony was held for To Lam, the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, who arrived in Azerbaijan for an official visit. The event took place on May 7, marking a significant moment in the diplomatic relations between the two countries.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a guard of honor was prepared for the visiting General Secretary in a square adorned with the national flags of both Vietnam and Azerbaijan. The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, along with First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, personally welcomed To Lam and his spouse, Ngo Phuong Ly.

During the ceremony, the chief of the guard of honor reported to General Secretary To Lam. The national anthems of both the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of Azerbaijan were played, symbolizing the unity and respect between the two nations.

Following the anthems, the guard of honor marched in front of President Ilham Aliyev and General Secretary To Lam, accompanied by a military march. The formalities concluded with both leaders posing for official photographs, capturing the essence of the diplomatic engagement.
