Baku: An official welcome ceremony was held in Baku for the Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed Ali, on February 27. The event featured a guard of honor arranged in a square adorned with the national flags of both Ethiopia and Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva greeted Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and First Lady Zinash Tayachew. The chief of the guard of honor formally reported to the Ethiopian Prime Minister, marking the start of the ceremony.

During the ceremony, the national anthems of Ethiopia and Azerbaijan were played. The guard of honor proceeded to march in front of President Aliyev and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, accompanied by a military march. The event concluded with both leaders posing for official photographs.
