OIC delegation participates in fact-finding mission in Ganja

At the invitation of Azerbaijani Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva, the delegation led by the Chairman of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation continue its visit to Azerbaijan, APA reports.

Member of delegation accompanied by Aydin Safikhanli, Head of the Ombudsman’s Office, member of the OIC NDIC, during the monitoring carried out in Ganja, within the framework of a fact-finding mission, have reviewed residential buildings destroyed or seriously damaged as a result of heavy artillery and rocket fire, as well as to other civilian facilities, cultural-historical monuments, large trade centers, and other public facilities, read prayers for souls of civilians who lost their lives, laid flowers on the destroyed places. The members of the delegation, who got acquainted with the reconstruction work in the affected areas and visited various parts of the city, including Victory Park, highly appreciated rapid restoration work.
