OIC Secretary-General Extends Congratulations to Azerbaijan on Independence Day

Baku: Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha has sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter from the OIC Secretary-General expressed heartfelt congratulations to both President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan. The Secretary-General conveyed his prayers for the health and well-being of President Aliyev, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the Azerbaijani people.

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) emphasized its strong relationship with the Republic of Azerbaijan and acknowledged the country's role in supporting the OIC and promoting joint Islamic action. The OIC reiterated its commitment to serving its Member States, promoting common values, and strengthening mutual cooperation among them.

The letter concluded with the OIC Secretary-General expressing his anticipation of President Aliyev's support in enhancing solidarity among the peoples of the OIC Member States and exploring new opportunities for joint Islamic action.
