“We are conducting a fact-finding mission in Aghdam city today,” Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva told journalists on the sidelines of visit to Aghdam, APA’s bureau in Karabakh reports.

She noted Aghdam is one of the most beautiful, modern cities of our country: “Aghdam, which we see today, is a city that has completely razed to the ground, subjected to destruction. Foreign observers name Aghdam “Hiroshima of the Caucasus” while visiting here. It is not a coincidence, an objective phrase. All is clear. It is vandalism against our nation, state is a destruction of our cultural heritage.”

She added that facts, collected in Aghdam will be submitted as evidence in relevant judicial trials in international legal platforms in the future.
