An online symposium co-organized by the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the Istanbul Technical University of the Republic of Turkey (ITU) was held.

The symposium is dedicated to the defense of the final works of fourth-year students of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Science of AzTU and Mining of ITU studying at the bachelor’s level.

Rectors of both universities – Professor Vilayat Valiyev and Professor Ismail Koyunchu – spoke at the opening of the event.

Speaking at the symposium, the Dean of the ITU Faculty of Mining, Cengiz Kuzu, said that such an event was held with AzTU for the first time. He noted that the symposium is planned to be held annually. After the opening ceremony, the symposium continued its work with breakout sessions.

7 students of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Science of AzTU took part in the symposium with their articles. According to the decision made at the closing ceremony of the symposium, the scientific supervisors of the final works of the fourth courses for the next academic year will be selected from AzTU and ITU.
