OPEC Updates Global Oil Demand Forecast for 2026-2027

Baku: The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC): has announced its forecast for average daily global oil demand for 2026-2027, APA-Economics reports, citing the monthly report of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the average daily global oil demand is projected to reach 107.87 million barrels next year, with the forecast remaining unchanged. This figure is 1.34 million barrels higher than the forecast for 2026. The forecast for this year indicates that the average daily global oil demand is expected to be 106.53 million barrels, also unchanged, marking an increase of 1.38 million barrels compared to 2025, which had a demand of 105.15 million barrels.

In 2024, the average daily global oil demand was recorded at 103.84 million barrels. This data underlines a steady increase in global oil demand over the years as projected by OPEC.
