Baku: The opening ceremony of the New Robotic Rehabilitation and Bone Marrow Transplant Centers took place at the New Clinic, APA reports. The event was attended by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Arzu Aliyeva, Head of the Baku Media Center, and Alena Aliyeva.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the New Robotic Rehabilitation Center spans 3,600 square meters and is among the first in Azerbaijan to offer a technological revolution in rehabilitation services. The center aims to restore patients’ functional independence, improve quality of life, and maximize mobility, thereby reducing disability levels in the country. It provides both outpatient and inpatient treatment services.
The facility employs a comprehensive team, including physiotherapists, traumatologists, neurologists, and various other specialists. The Neurotrauma unit focuses on inpatient treatment for head and spinal injuries and offers essential rehabilitation services post-resuscitation.
The center provides both robotic and classical rehabilitation services in multiple areas such as neurology, orthopedics, pediatrics, sports, hand, cardiopulmonary, geriatric, and oncological rehabilitation. It also offers specialized gynecological and andrological rehabilitation services, focusing on pelvic floor muscle restoration.
The facility aims to establish itself as a global leader in both robotic and classical rehabilitation. Equipped with advanced technologies like robotic locomotion systems, 3D-motion analysis, and AI-based assessments, the center is set to enhance Azerbaijan’s position as an innovative rehabilitation hub. International accreditation negotiations are in progress to support this goal.
The Bone Marrow Transplant Center, set to open on November 20, is a specialized facility that adheres to modern standards. It will be managed by an experienced team and aims to offer comprehensive treatment for hemato-oncological diseases, reducing the need for patients to seek care abroad. The center will provide both autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplants following international protocols.
The center’s transplant units are equipped with HEPA-filtered airflow, full isolation, and rigorous infection control systems. Its mission is to ensure safe, high-quality treatment, apply scientific innovations, and enhance accessibility to bone marrow transplantation services across Azerbaijan. The facility will continue to operate as a model in applying modern medical standards.
