Opening Ceremony of 6th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth Underway in Khankendi

Khankendi: The opening ceremony of the 6th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth is being held in Khankendi. Official figures, well-known scientists, cultural and art figures are attending the opening ceremony.

According to Azeri-Press news Agency, the 6th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth is dedicated to the ‘Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,’ and is organized jointly by the State Committee for Work with Diaspora and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The event will continue until August 9 and has been attended by 128 Azerbaijanis and young people from nations friendly to Azerbaijan, from 61 countries around the world.

The camp’s program includes a variety of activities. Participants will receive detailed information about the diaspora policy implemented under the leadership of the head of state. They will also have opportunities to meet with officials, diplomats, various field experts, members of martyr families, and heroic veterans. Additionally, attendees will get more closely acquainted with Karabakh, and participate in native language classes, entertainment programs, and intellectual games.

The Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth project has attracted significant interest both within the country and among the diaspora, gaining notable prestige. The increasing interest in the camps year by year is evident. Previously, camps have been held in the cities of Sheki, Shamakhi, Shusha, Nakhchivan, and Lachin. Over the years, the camp’s organizing committee has received more than 3,000 applications from over 60 countries, and more than 700 applicants have participated in the summer camps.
