Baku:Anama During mine-clearing operations conducted in various districts, over 1,600 mines and unexploded ordnances (UXOs) were neutralized last week.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) reported that these operations took place from September 21 to 27 in Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Khojavend, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan districts.

The agency specified that a total of 208 anti-personnel mines, 29 anti-tank mines, and 1,436 UXOs were detected and neutralized. Additionally, ANAMA stated that 1,385.8 hectares of territory were cleared during this period.
