Khankendi: More than 1,700 families have been relocated to new apartments in Karabakh, Farman Gurbanli, Chief of Staff at the State Housing Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (MIDA), announced during his speech at the ‘3rd Azerbaijan National Urban Forum’ held in Khankendi.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Gurbanli highlighted that the housing projects in Karabakh are a crucial part of the Great Return process. He stated, “We have successfully completed three projects in the Karabakh region. More than 1,700 families have been relocated to new apartments in the Fuzuli, Jabrayil, and Khojavend districts.”

Gurbanli further explained that the projects encompass not only residential buildings but also essential social infrastructure. “Construction of 22 social facilities has begun, 16 of which have already been put into operation – these include 5 schools, 9 kindergartens, and 2 medical institutions,” he said.

He also noted that the Agency has completed a total of 18 projects over the past nine years, resulting in the full commissioning of 12,000 apartments in eight projects. Currently, construction continues for four projects, while design work is ongoing for three additional projects.
