Khankendi: Over 23,000 residents have been settled in the districts of Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly as repair and reconstruction work continues in several residential areas.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in the city of Khankendi and the districts of Aghdara and Khojaly confirmed the ongoing efforts.

Speaking at an event hosted at Karabakh University as part of the ‘Mobile Youth Service’ project dedicated to the ‘Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty,’ Sabuhi Gahramanov, Deputy Special Representative of the President in Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly, stated that reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories are advancing swiftly.

He mentioned that extensive infrastructure projects are being implemented across the region, including new highways, railways, airports, and electricity and water supply systems. These projects aim to facilitate the region’s development and improve living conditions for the residents.

According to Gahramanov, socio-economic support programs targeting entrepreneurship and employment have generated new job opportunities for local residents. He also highlighted the importance of youth engagement and education for sustainable national development, emphasizing the significant role of Karabakh University in the region’s intellectual and social progress.

The university currently hosts over 2,000 students who actively participate in social and innovative initiatives. Gahramanov remarked that ensuring the region’s sustainable development and supporting the return of residents to their homeland remain top priorities for the state. He noted that the event at Karabakh University is a crucial step in strengthening youth development in the region and fostering future social projects.
