PACE rapporteur criticizes snap parliamentary elections in Armenia

“During snap parliamentary elections in Armenia, we witnessed poisonous political climate and polarization. Its main reason was Armenia’s defeat by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh. The opposition party criticized the government very severely. We often witnessed hatred words,” said PACE rapporteur George Katrougalos, who was observing snap parliamentary elections in Armenia, APA’s bureau in Britain reports.

He noted in the report that PACE’s delegation expressed its concern over aggravation of the situation regarding aggressive talks and accusations, a high level of polarization between the rivals.
