Pakistani President Congratulates Azerbaijani Leader on Victory Day

Baku: The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, addressed a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the Glorious Victory Day, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter from President Zardari expressed heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan. The message highlighted the significance of the day as a reminder of the Azerbaijani people’s struggle to restore their homeland’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Under President Aliyev’s leadership, the liberation of the occupied territories was marked as a landmark achievement in Azerbaijan’s modern history.

The letter also noted the special significance of this year’s Victory Day, coinciding with progress towards lasting peace in the region following improved relations with Armenia. This development offers hope for a future characterized by stability, cooperation, and prosperity for all.
