Baku: Another panel discussion titled 'Multilateralism in Crisis: Rethinking Global Cooperation' was held within the framework of the 13th Global Baku Forum. The panel participants shared their views on multilateralism, international cooperation, and the changes taking place in the global order.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, former Prime Minister of Italy and former President of the European Commission Romano Prodi spoke about the international order formed after World War II and the changes taking place within it. Former President of Latvia Vaira Vike-Freiberga addressed the challenges facing multilateralism and noted that Azerbaijan and Armenia have taken steps toward peace after many years.

Advisor to the President of Slovakia on foreign policy Jan Kubis said the international order based on international law still remains in force and noted that radical nationalism poses a threat to the global order. Former President of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic spoke about the UN's approach to global conflicts.

Former Foreign Minister of Ecuador and President of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly Maria Fernanda Espinosa highlighted the importance of preserving beneficial relations in the condition of growing interdependence. Former President of Senegal Macky Sall and former Austrian Foreign Minister Benita Ferrero-Waldner also addressed the panel, stressing the importance of reforms in the UN and calling for stronger international cooperation.
