Azerbaijani athletes joined the official Parade of Nations as the 2024 Olympics are drawing to a close Sunday with an elaborate closing ceremony at the Stade de France just north of Paris. The country's flag-bearers are silver medalist of the Olympics, Taekwondo fighter Gashim Magomedov, and Zeynab Hummatova, a member of the Azerbaijan rhythmic gymnastics team, who earned the fifth-place finish in the Paris 2024 Olympics. The Azerbaijani team won a total of 7 medals, including two gold, two silver and three bronze medals at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games sharing the 30th-31st places with Croatia.
