Baku: The Commission on Foreign Interference and Hybrid Threats of the Milli Majlis has investigated several factors underlying the disinformation campaigns conducted against Azerbaijan across digital platforms and various media channels in recent times.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the analysis and assessment of these unfriendly actions have identified that these activities are coordinated from a single center. The hybrid attacks, which have been ongoing for more than a year, are part of a multi-layered pressure strategy. This anti-Azerbaijan strategy involves information manipulations aimed at misleading public opinion, creating polarization within society, and undermining trust in the state and its institutions.
The report highlights that Azerbaijan's achievements, such as the full restoration of its territorial integrity, strengthening its sovereign will under President Ilham Aliyev, contributions to global energy security, and the creation of transport corridors, have led to the country being targeted with campaigns and disinformation containing baseless accusations. The Republic of Azerbaijan, however, remains resolute in protecting its rights against all forms of hybrid threats and the disruption of the information space.
In response to the ongoing disinformation campaign, the Commission on Foreign Interference and Hybrid Threats urges Azerbaijani citizens to trust only information provided by state bodies and officials of Azerbaijan.
