Washington: As part of his participation in the Annual Meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C, Taleh Kazimov, Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), met with Pan Gongsheng, Governor of the People’s Bank of China, APA-Economics reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the meeting, both parties expressed satisfaction with the current state of bilateral relations. They emphasized their confidence that the Memorandum of Understanding, signed last month, would help further deepen cooperation between the two institutions. The discussion highlighted the importance of enhancing collaboration between the central banks and financial sectors of both countries.
The dialogue also focused on the exchange of experience and information in areas such as financial technologies, innovation, and payment systems. These efforts are seen as critical steps towards strengthening cooperation and ensuring robust financial interactions between Azerbaijan and China.
