PASHA Holding Continues Support for AFAQ Project to Boost Women’s Agricultural Entrepreneurship

Baku:PASHA Holding continues its support for the 'Aqrar F?aliyy?tli Az?rbaycan Qadinlari' (AFAQ) project, implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, with the aim of enhancing women's entrepreneurship in agriculture.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the AFAQ project is designed to assist women involved in agriculture and the agricultural value chain in developing their businesses. It focuses on improving their knowledge and skills, expanding their market access, and creating new employment opportunities. The project offers support in consulting, knowledge and skills development, marketing and sales, and technical assistance. It emphasizes business, marketing, and e-commerce education for participants.

The project also aims to boost women's participation in agricultural entrepreneurship, thereby increasing employment opportunities in rural areas, improving local communities' social well-being, and strengthening women's economic roles.

The reach of the AFAQ project has grown significantly. In 2020, 32 women farmers benefited from the project, but by 2025, the number had risen to 110, marking a threefold increase. Between January and September 2026, 76 farmers received material and technical support, and 88 women's farms were visited and assessed, reflecting the project's expanded reach and support offerings.

Women's empowerment is a key component of PASHA Holding's corporate social responsibility strategy. The company and its subsidiaries are involved in several initiatives, including AFAQ, 'Ana Sahibkar,' 'Women Bazaar,' and 'Support for the Social Development of Single Mothers.'
