Pashinyan asked Blinken to influence Baku

On Saturday, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. According to the press service of the Armenian government, during the conversation the sides discussed the military-political situation in the region. Pashinyan called Azerbaijan’s actions in the Lachin corridor «a policy of ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh». He called on the international community to “react adequately to Azerbaijan’s actions that undermine regional security and take active measures to unconditionally implement the decision of the International Court of Justice.” There was also an exchange of views on the upcoming discussions in Washington between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia through the mediation of the US Secretary of State.
