Passenger Rail Service to Balakan Set to Begin Soon, Chairman Announces


BAKU: Passenger rail service to Azerbaijan’s Balakan region is set to commence soon, as authorities finalize preparations for the new transportation link. The announcement was made by Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways, who informed journalists that the launch is imminent.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Rustamov emphasized the interest surrounding the new service, noting that both journalists and prospective passengers are eagerly awaiting the development. He revealed that the specific date for the inaugural train operation will be announced shortly. The necessary infrastructure and station renovations are nearing completion, ensuring that the service will begin in the near future.
