Peaceful protests of Azerbaijani eco-activists on Lachin-Khankandi road continues for 39th night

The peaceful protests of Azerbaijani ecologists and young volunteers on the Lachin-Khankandi road passing through Shusha over the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits, especially the Gizilbulag gold and Damirli copper-molybdenum deposits located in the Azerbaijani territories, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily deployed, have been going on for the thirty-ninth straight night, APA reports.

Despite the freezing weather, the protestors continue to chant various slogans in English and Russian calling for an end to ecocide against Azerbaijan, as well as demanding monitoring of Azerbaijan’s mineral deposits in the areas where the Russian peacekeeping contingent has been temporarily deployed.

Currently, eco-activists and young volunteers are saying “Azerbaijan is awake, it supports its wealth!”, “Azerbaijan is united, it has its wealth!”, “End environmental crime!”, “Protect nature!” (Protect nature), “Ekocidu ???! ?????????? ??!” (No to Ecoside! Yes to monitoring!) they chant.

It should be noted that the action started on December 12 last year.
