Kyiv: The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has approved the extradition of Azerbaijani citizen Nariman Iskandarov to Azerbaijan. This decision is in line with the Convention on Extradition dated December 13, 1957, following a request from the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the extradition request was made after a preliminary investigation by the Main Department for Combating Cybercrime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The investigation revealed that Nariman Iskandarov is suspected of committing theft causing significant damage through the use of electronic data carriers. The alleged crime was conducted as part of a group acting in prior collusion.
Due to these allegations, Nariman Iskandarov was charged as an accused person. However, he evaded the investigation and went into hiding, leading to his placement on an international wanted list. Authorities are currently taking steps to ensure his return to Azerbaijan to face the charges against him.
