Baku: The platform for the Shah Deniz Compression project is set to be constructed in Azerbaijan, as revealed by BP’s Executive Vice President for Production and Operations, Gordon Birrell, during a briefing to journalists.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the platform will house four large compressors. These compressors are designed to collect low-pressure gases from the Shah Deniz gas-condensate field.

Gordon Birrell further stated that the platform will be fully powered by electricity. This feature is expected to significantly reduce emissions, bringing them down to nearly zero.
