Baku: A plenary session titled "The Turkic world as one family: Activities of international Turkic cooperation organizations for common goals" took place during Turkic World Week, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, APA reports. The event saw prominent figures such as the President of the National Academy of Sciences, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, and other key leaders in Turkic cooperation deliver speeches emphasizing unity and collaboration.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Academician Isa Habibbeyli highlighted the First Turkological Congress's role in establishing the system and scientific model for Turkology. He noted that the original congress tackled various significant topics about the Turkic world, including monuments, history, and culture.

Shahin Mustafayev, President of the International Turkic Academy, discussed the development of a common terminology in Turkic languages, an objective set by the First Turkological Congress. He revealed the completion of an eight-volume terminological publication as part of this ongoing project.

Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, announced an upcoming international event at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, dedicated to the congress's centenary.

The session concluded with the awarding of the "100th Anniversary of the First Turkological Congress (1926-2026)" commemorative badge to distinguished cultural and public figures, including Academician Rafael Huseynov, Academician Nizami Jafarov, and others, in recognition of their contributions to Turkic culture and cooperation.
