Poland announced the complete cessation of oil imports from Russia

Russia has stopped oil supplies to Poland via the “Drujba” pipeline, Daniel Obaitek, Chief Executive Officer of the Polish oil refinery “PKN Orlen” announced.

Prior to that, “PKN Orlen” imported about 10% of its oil via pipeline from Russia, and the rest from other countries by sea.

After the expiration of the contract with Rosneft, Orlen received oil under an agreement with “Tatneft”, the Reuters news agency reminds.

“We are effectively providing supplies. Russia has stopped supplies to Poland, for which we are ready. Only 10% of crude oil came from Russia, and we will replace it with oil from other sources,” Obaytek wrote on Twitter.

“PKN Orlen” stated that it can fully supply its refineries by sea and that the shutdown of pipeline supplies will not affect the supply of gasoline and diesel fuel to customers
