Azerbaijan managed to isolate Armenia diplomatically and politically during the 44-day war. The glorious Azerbaijani Army brought the enemy to its knees on the battlefield. The UN resolutions that remained on paper for years were implemented by our country, and our territorial integrity was ensured.
Bashirov stressed that the most worrying and disappointing issue for the Armenian leadership is the inability of any country to bring a high-ranking official to Karabakh, no matter how hard he works for nearly 30 years. they had to accept that the territories they kept belonged to Azerbaijan. However, a few months after the liberation of our territories, we invited the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, one of the leading countries in the region and the world, who has a great influence in NATO, to Shusha. On June 15, 2021, the historic Shusha Declaration was signed between Azerbaijan and Turkey. “Despite Armenia’s ugly efforts, the world has shown a normal attitude to this issue.”
The political scientist noted that at a time when the war is over and the conflict is in history, Armenia still does not give up its ugly intentions and policy of aggression. Armenia is trying to obstruct the process when Azerbaijan delimits and demarcates. It is also forcing Azerbaijan to retaliate by aggravating the situation and provoking the border. The South Caucasus is no longer the previous region. Azerbaijan has created new realities in the region with the 44-day war. If we pay attention to the claims made by the world powers and international organizations, we will see that the whole world is in favor of peace and security. In this case, Azerbaijan has shown its commitment to peace and security by removing the enemy from the occupied territories at its own expense.
“The forces that support Armenia, especially countries such as France and the United States, are in fact interested in the escalation of the situation in the region, instead of reconciling and supporting the realities of Azerbaijan,” he said. Those who govern Armenia, especially the post-election government, must understand that they have no choice but to sign a peace agreement. Instead of concluding a peace agreement, the Armenian government fires on Nakhchivan and Shusha and commits provocative actions. In this case, Azerbaijan is obliged to conduct an anti-terrorist operation from the point of view of security, and this has been repeatedly stated to the other side. “If a large-scale anti-terrorist operation is carried out, it will result in exposing the policy pursued by the Armenian state,” Bashirov said.
The political scientist stressed that Azerbaijan, acting within the framework of international law, restored its territorial integrity with the 44-day Patriotic War. Again, based on international law, our country will fully ensure its rights and move forward with confidence on the path of justice.
