Portugal Triumphs Over Norway in UEFA Nations League Comeback

Baku:Portugal maintained their perfect record in the UEFA Nations League with a 2-1 victory over Norway, achieving their fourth consecutive win in League A Group 4.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Norway initially took the lead in the 36th minute when Kristoffer Ajer scored a stunning goal from outside the box, converting Martin Odegaard's free kick into the top-left corner.

Portugal quickly responded, leveling the score at 1-1 just two minutes later. Joao Cancelo capitalized on a loose ball at the edge of the area, delivering a powerful shot into the top-right corner.

The decisive goal came in the 79th minute. Vitinha found Joao Felix at the back post, who then set up Goncalo Ramos for a close-range finish to complete the comeback for the hosts.

Norwegian striker Erling Haaland was effectively neutralized by Portugal's defense and failed to score before being substituted by Jorgen Strand Larsen in the 67th minute.

Portugal ended the match with 10 players after Francisco Conceicao received two yellow cards in quick succession in the 86th minute. Despite the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the national team camp earlier in the week, Portugal advanced to 12 points in their group.

Denmark moved into second place in Group 4 with six points after a 1-0 victory over Wales. Rasmus Hojlund secured the win with a penalty in the 75th minute following a foul by Wales goalkeeper Danny Ward on Gustav Isaksen.
