‘This year, Azerbaijan will play a host to such a major and landmark event as COP29. Today we had a very productive meeting with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Today`s meeting recovered almost every topics. Speaking in detail about Azerbaijan’s vision, President Ilham Aliyev also touched upon the global processes facing our world today,’ Bruno Maçães, Senior Advisor at Flint Global of Portugal told AZERTAC journalist as he attended the international forum themed ‘COP29 and Green Vision for Azerbaijan’ organized by ADA University in Azerbaijan.

Highlighting his recurrent visit to Azerbaijan, the international expert added: “At COP28, which was held last year, we could not achieve a unity that fully reflected our expectations and find the middle ground on the direction of implementation of ambitious ideas by the countries.

As you know, last week’s storm and flood in Dubai led to a series of disasters. We are already witnessing the consequences of global warming. We must act together for preventing
this. I think that the Baku-hosted COP29 will serve as an essential platform for addressing global challenges related to climate change,” Bruno Maçães emphasized.
